A group of Polish Jews living in the United States recently called on the Polish government to enact legislation permitting all Polish Jewish Holocaust survivors and their heirs to apply to reclaim properties lost during World War II. The Polish government is now preparing a revised version of the 1998 Act of Privatization, which gave reclamation rights only to Jews who were Polish citizens living in Poland.
