A group of Polish lawmakers is backing a bill that would restore the citizenship of Jews who fled the country in the wake of a 1968 anti-Semitic campaign. An estimated 12,000 to 20,000 Jews fled during the campaign, inaugurated by the then-Communist government to silence social unrest.
