A group of prominent Americans and Israelis, led by former Presidential assistant Stuart Eizenstat and former Knesset member S. Zalman Abramov, met recently in Jerusalem to plan programs aimed at enhancing understanding between the American Jewish community and Israel. It was the first joint meeting of the Israeli and American advisory boards of the recently formed Institute on American Jewish-Israeli Relations, an arm of the American Jewish Committee.
