A Hebrew program at a well-known New York City high school was saved. Parents whose children study Hebrew at Stuyvesant High School received a letter last month stating the program would be canceled because the regular teacher was ill and a replacement could not be found. But after protests from parents, the program, which has 60 students, was rescued.
