A Jerusalem man is suspected of raping a 6-year-old girl in synagogue on Yom Kippur. Israeli police arrested the 24-year-old man after the parents of the young girl said their daughter told them she was cornered by the man in a synagogue bathroom on Yom Kippur.
The girl’s father confronted the man in synagogue and took his identity card, which he later used to identify him to police, according to Israeli media reports. The man, who allegedly has a history of sexual offenses, has denied raping the girl.
