A Jewish family whose business was seized by Poland sued the Polish government for compensation. The New York Legal Assistance Group, a nonprofit that offers free legal services to Holocaust survivors and others, filed the lawsuit Wednesday in the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of the Pikielny family, whose textile manufacturing company in Lodz was seized by the Nazis during World War II.
