A kibbutz in the Golan Heights is preparing for an onslaught of visitors after it was described as the best place in Israel to view Wednesday’s solar eclipse. Officials at Kibbutz Merom Golan decided not to charge an entry fee for eclipse watchers, but members of the kibbutz bought special glasses to sell to spectators. From Israel’s vantage point, 80 percent of the sun will be covered during the eclipse.
