A Knesset vote to expand the size of Israel’s Cabinet was postponed Thursday after the speaker of the house received a report, which later proved to be false, that veteran legislator Amnon Rubinstein had passed away. Legislators were on the verge of holding the final two votes on the much-contested bill when Speaker Avraham Burg was passed a message that Rubinstein, who was admitted to hospital earlier this week for abdominal pains, had died.
