A Latvian court sentenced the publisher of a nationalist journal to eight months in jail for inciting ethnic hatred, according to the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews. The court ruled last week that Guntars Landmanis’ newspaper, the Patriot, published anti-Semitic articles.
