A lawyer representing former World War II-era slave laborers said he would file a class-action lawsuit against German firms next week on the matter. Michael Witti said recent announcements by the auto manufacturer Volkswagen and the electronics firm Siemens that they would set up funds to compensate their former slave laborers would not exempt them from the lawsuit.
