A leader of Brazilian Jewry criticized a samba group that used swastikas and other Nazi symbols while celebrating Carnival in Sao Paolo. The display “brought back very bad memories for Brazil’s Jewish community,” said Rabbi Henry Sobel of Sao Paolo’s Israelite Congregation.
