A “man-bites-dog” story unfolded in Tel Aviv district court Tuesday when a defendant threw the book at the judge–literally. Judge Victoria Ostrovski-Cohen had just sentenced Avner Moyal, 26, of Givatayim, to six years’ imprisonment for drug dealing. Moyal picked up a heavy law book and hurled it at the judge, striking her in the forehead.
