A man convicted of shooting a bound Palestinian eight years ago is to be released from jail on Monday, after the prison parole board commuted his sentence. Meretz Party legislator Zahava Gal-On, who successfully blocked Yoram Skolnik’s early release in a petition to Israel’s High Court earlier this year, said she would now appeal directly to the attorney general.
