A man from Dearborn, Mich, charged with attempting to supply Hezbollah gunmen in Lebanon failed to show up for a court appeal after he was released last week from federal custody. The Anti-Defamation League issued a statement that Fawzi Mustapha Assi, 28, “never should have been allowed to go free.” The statement added that the “judicial system clearly underestimated the sophistication and dedication of those who actively support and engage in terrorism.”
