A meeting of the Joint Ica Reconstruction Foundation took place on January 6th and 7th at the headquarters of the Jewish Colonization Association here. The Foundation is composed of twenty members, of whom six represent the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, six the Jewish Colonization Association and eight representing various Jewish organization in several countries which were appointed by the J. D. C. and the Ica.
It was reported that the Jewish Colonization Association and the Joint Distribution Committee have invested through the Foundation, nearly $2,000,000 in loan Kassas in the various countries. With this, the funds of the Foundation have been exhausted. The development, however, of the credit cooperatives in the various countries makes it necessary that further means be found for the next few years. Agreements between the Jewish Colonization Association and the J. D. C. are now being negotiated with a view to securing further funds. The amount of $400,000 annually was reported necessary for this purpose.

Bramson, president of the Ort; Justizrat Blau, president of the Frankfurt Jewish Community; Leonard Cohen of London, Dr. Klumel, Senator Szeroszewski, Deputy Rosenbaum of Warsaw; Dr. Sondheimer of Frankfurt; B. Locker of Berlin, Solomon Reinach, V. Alter of Warsaw; Dr. Bernard Kahn, Dr. Louis Oungre, Dr. D. Schweitzer, Dr. Werner Senator, general secretary of the Joint Distribution Committee in Europe. Dr. Franz Phillipson of Brussels, president of the Ica, presided.
