A memorial to the thousands of Jews from Leipzig who died in the Holocaust was unveiled in the eastern German city. The memorial of 140 bronze chairs “will be a thorn in the side of the city, forcing us to remain vigilant,” Leipzig Mayor Wolfgang Tiefensee said.
