A new agreement will bring $174 million more to Holocaust-era slave laborers. After a year of negotiations in Berlin, the funds — slightly more than half the interest earned in a settlement reached in 2000 with the German government and German firms — will be distributed by the Claims Conference to some 140,000 Jewish survivors by the end of August.
