A new series of Jewish short stories will air over the National Public Radio network. “Jewish Stories From the Old World to the New,” featuring stories that range from the Yiddish writer I. L. Peretz to contemporary writers such as Allegra Goodman, will begin airing in December. Readers of the series, which follows up on a similar 1995 series, include the actors William Shatner and Julie Kavner.
