A new synagogue was inaugurated in Kazakhstan. The synagogue is located in the capital, Astana. Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of the predominantly Muslim nation, and Yona Metzger, Israel’s chief Ashkenazi rabbi, were among those who addressed the festive crowd.
