A nonkosher restaurant called The Pig is slated to open next month in an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Los Angeles. “We’re certainly not doing anything to offend anyone,” said The Pig’s Jewish owner, Liz Thompson. Even though the restaurant, which will serve barbecue, is just a few yards from a yeshiva, no one’s squealing yet.
