A number of prominent economists, agricultural experts and practical workers in the field of colonization, including U. Larin, Abraham Bragin, Professors Fabricant and Margolin, experts on agriculture, and representatives of the Government Committee for Settling of Jews, as well as representatives of the Ort, participated in the conference held here last Monday with regard to the Jewish colonization plan.
The conference unanimously recognized the urgent necessity to take a census immediately and complete an economic investigation of the Jews in the small towns of the Union of Soviet Republics. Further work towards the solving of the Jewish economic problem will be based on the data procured by the census.
