A pair of North American astronauts are in Israel to attend memorial services for the first Israeli astronaut. Ilan Ramon was killed in the 2003 Columbia space shuttle crash. Joseph Tanner from NASA and Steve MacLean from the Canadian Space Agency were scheduled to take part in memorial events this week for the Columbia crew. .
