A Palestinian Cabinet minister denied that his son was a weapons smuggler. Civil Affairs Minister Jamil Tarifi, who resigned along with the rest of the Palestinian Cabinet this week, issued the denial Thursday after Israel Television reported that the son was released from prison with the help of Israeli Defense Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer.
