A Palestinian tried to knock down part of the West Bank security fence with a bulldozer.
An unidentified Palestinian drove up to Ramallah’s Kalandia checkpoint in a bulldozer Wednesday, intent on ramming the concrete barricades there.
Israeli border policemen responded by firing tear gas from their positions. The assailant fled without causing damage or casualties.
The incident raised concern of “copycat” attacks after last week’s bulldozer rampage by an Arab from eastern Jerusalem in which three Israelis were killed.
