A Paris court threw out a defamation claim brought by a French Trotskyist group against a Jewish community leader. The court ruled Monday there was no case following a claim by the Revolutionary Communist League that Roger Cukierman, president of the CRIF umbrella organization of French Jews, had defamed the party at a CRIF annual dinner in January 2003.
