A partial strike by municipal, public and government-employed engineers started Tuesday while a threatened strike by the 900 air crew employes of El Al which was scheduled to start at midnight Tuesday was called off after marathon negotiations which lasted until 3 a.m. Tuesday, Meanwhile, a strike by the employes of Bank Leumi, Israel’s largest financial institution, is still pending.
