A police escort, brass bands and Hasidic fervor marked the inauguration here this week of the new building of the Rabbi Marco Gertzenstein rabbinical seminary. About 2000 persons witnessed the ceremony which began with the moving of Torah scrolls to the new site. A police motorcycle squad provided an escort for the three-block trip and the police band provided a musical accompaniment. The guest of honor was a visitor from the U.S., Dr. Isaac Levin, president of the Pan-American Agudat Israel and donor of the new building.
