A Polish lawmaker’s assistant was fired after a newspaper revealed a video in which she gave the Nazi salute. Maciej Giertych, who represents the extreme-right League of Catholic families in the European Parliament, dismissed Leokadi Wiacek after seeing video of a neo-Nazi gathering that was posted on the Dziennik newspaper’s Web site.
