A private telegram from a member of the Jewish self-defense body, uncensored by the Palestine authorities, reached here via Cairo. It said:
“We are fighting for our very lives. The pogroms are spreading to all corners of the country. The danger for the colonies in the Valley of Jezreel is growing.
“Arab propaganda and agitation are being carried on openly throughout the country. The action of the government officials is weak and vacillating. No support for our self-defense is given by the officials.”
