A pro-Palestinian group in South Africa called on their government to sever all ties with Israel. Members of the Palestinian Solidarity Group, which includes a group representing some South African Jews, made the call during a meeting Saturday. Speakers at the meeting included Mercia Andrews, who was instrumental in setting the anti-Israel tone at the U.N. anti-racism conference in Durban, South Africa last summer. Some speakers at the meeting wore T-shirts that read, “Stop the Holocaust in Palestine.”
