A pro-Palestinian group, The Netherlands Palestine Committee, is expected to launch a large scale propaganda campaign in Holland next fall. Members are currently visiting Israel and the occupied Arab territories. Two of them said in a radio interview with the Dutch Labor Broadcasting Organization “Vara” that they were “horrified” by the oppression of the Palestinians on the West Bank. They said they learned from inhabitants of the Daisha refugee camp near Bethlehem and from students at Bir Zeit University that conditions were much worse than they had expected. They also spoke to Mayor Basham Shaka of Nablus who was crippled by a bomb attack a year ago. The perpetrators, believed to be Jewish extremists, were never apprehended.
