A rare snowfall that hit Jerusalem is prompting city officials to advise residents not to operate their cars. Snow also fell in Israel’s northern region, including the mystical city of Safed. The storm, which brought heavy rain in other parts of the country, has helped replenish Israel’s drinking water supply, which had been dangerously low following last year’s drought.
