A record number of students attended this year’s conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Some 1,000 students representing 300 schools from all 50 U.S. states attended the Sunday-Tuesday conference in Washington. Among them were 101 student government presidents, up from 40 the previous year, an AIPAC official said. Of the student presidents, only 19 were Jewish; five represented historically black colleges and 23 represented Christian campuses.
