A representative government in Palestine would be a dangerous step at the present time because of a preponderant Arab vote, Josiah Wedgwood stated in an address he delivered here.

The Jews should insist on the maintenance of Colonial Office rule for at least a generation, and a pledge to this effect by the British Government is urgently necessary, he said.
