A resolution condemning those United Nations member states that voted for the General Assembly resolution equating Zionism with racism was adopted by the Miami City Commission last week. Sponsored by Mayor Maurice Ferre, the resolution termed the Assembly measure “contrary to the intent and purpose for which the United Nations was created” and “contrary to the recognition afforded the State of Israel by the United Nations.”
