A resolution protesting against the action of the British government in suspending Jewish labor immigration into Palestine was unanimously adopted at a meeting of the Portland Zionist District last week. The resolution declares that the policy pursued by the British government since the August disorders must tend to weaken the faith of the Jews in the intention of the Government of Great Britain to live up to the terms of the Mandate.

URGE BRANDEIS TO WORK FOR UNITY

Another resolution adopted recently by the Portland Zionist District urges Justice Louis D. Brandeis “to help full-heartedly to bring about unity in American Zionism, since the Zionist District of Portland, Oregon, feels that with Justice Brandeis as an active participant in American Zionism, World Zionism will be strengthened and the Jewish National movement will benefit thereby.”
