A roof collapsed at a historic synagogue on New York City’s Lower East Side. Sunday’s collapse occurred at the First Roumanian-American Congregation on Rivington Street, The New York Times reported. It’s unclear whether the 150-year-old building could be salvaged. The Torahs are apparently safe, however.
