A Russian-Israeli billionaire is trying to defuse tensions over the upcoming Jerusalem gay pride parade. Arkady Gaydamak, who has become a celebrity philanthropist since immigrating to Israel, met Tuesday with organizers of the planned march and asked them to relocate it to another city, saying he would foot the bill.
