A senior leader of Hamas said the Palestinian terrorist group one day could hold indirect talks with Israel. Mahmoud al-Zahar, leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and a leading candidate in upcoming Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections, was quoted Monday as saying that negotiations with Israel were not, in principle, “taboo.”
