A seven-year veteran of the U.N. inspection team monitoring weapons in Iraq is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly showing classified information on Saddam Hussein’s weapons program to Israel. Scott Ritter denied any wrongdoing in an interview with The New York Times. Ritter resigned from the U.N. team Wednesday after accusing the Clinton administration, the U.N. Security Council and the U.N. secretary-general of caving in to Iraq.
