A shipment of 60,000 cases of Jaffa oranges from Israel arrived Monday in Halifax and will be checked for mercury contamination by nine federal inspectors. Five hundred cases will be checked instead of the usual 50. It is the first shipment to arrive from Israel since contaminated oranges were found in Europe two weeks ago.
