A special message lauding the South African Jewish community’s part in stressing “spiritual and moral values” was issued here by President Charles Robberts Swart, on the occasion of the Jewish New Year. “In behalf of our Nation,” he stated, “I readily accord that recognition and appreciation to our Jewish community, and send them the best wishes for happiness and prosperity.”
