A special service for the victims of the recent earthquake was held here Sunday at the city’s main synagogue, the Choral Synagogue. The service was conducted by Rumania’s Chief Rabbi Moses Rosen who said that 80 Jewish dead have already been identified and more victims are probably still buried under the rubble. The American and Israeli ambassadors attended the ceremony. Rosen said messages and help have been received from Jewish communities the world over and thanked those who aided the quake-stricken country.
