A story on Page Three of the JTA Daily News Bulletin of Thursday incorrectly quoted Israeli Ambassador Yosef Tekoah saying: “I hope that the files containing peace efforts, including suggestions for meeting of the parties (Israel and Egypt) to discuss the establishment of a just and lasting peace, have not been destroyed under the impact of our ‘belligerency.’ “The phrase “files containing peace efforts” should have read “files concerning peace efforts.” The phrase “the impact of our ‘belligerency’ ” should have read “the impact of Arab belligerency.” The statement by the Israeli Mission spokesman which read “in March 1968 Dr. Jarring tried to convince representatives of the parties to meet in Cyprus” should have read “in March 1968 Dr. Jarring tried to convene the representatives of the parties to meet in Cyprus.”
