A strong controversy is expected to develop at Sunday’s session of the Board of Jewish Deputies on the question of participation in the Geneva conference on August 14th, it was indicated today.
The Joint Foreign Committee definitely recommends to the Board that “in the light of information before it,” it refrain from sending a delegation to the conference which is to discuss world Jewish congress possibilities.
The Zionist section and the B’nai Brith, on the other hand are preparing to fight against the Committee’s recommendation, it is learned, and will urge the sending of a delegation.
