A Swedish telephone company apologized for the anti-Semitic remarks made by the wife of one of its employees. The wife of an Ericsson employee verbally abused staff at a Tel Aviv hotel after the family’s horse reins could not be found. Swedish newspapers reported that the woman said Jews were thieves, liars and cheats, adding, “It’s a shame that Hitler did not finish off the job.” Ericsson, known for its mobile phones, has about 140 staff members in Israel.
