A Swiss court opened the way for hearings on a lawsuit brought by Gypsy groups charging that IBM created technology that helped the Nazis. The lawsuit is largely based on a book by Edwin Black, “IBM and the Holocaust,” which argues that the company provided the punch cards and computers that allowed Nazi Germany to organize the extermination of Jews, Gypsies and other groups.
