A teacher accused of beating a Jewish mother pleaded not guilty to hate-crime charges. Donna Jean Hubbard of Coarsegold, Calif., entered her plea July 5. Hubbard allegedly pulled the hair of a mother of one of her students, kicked her and said she wished she had burned in the Holocaust.
