A Tel Aviv court ordered a Ramat Aviv cafe to pay some $5,000 each to two former employees fired because they are Arabs. The Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported that the ruling is the first in Israel in which damages were paid to Arabs under the equal opportunity in employment law.
