A top-level delegation toured a Jewish group’s educational facilities in Israel. The delegation toured the ORT facilities last week to see how technology education works in Israel’s education system. Andrey Svinarenko, Russia’s first deputy minister of education and science, was joined by senior representatives of the World Bank, the National Training Foundation and Alexander Asmolov, president of ORT Russia, on a fact-finding mission designed to help Russia develop its technology education. World ORT operates several technology education projects in the former Soviet Union, including several Jewish day schools that offer advanced programs in information and communication technology.
